Afriqiyah Airways is the primary airline of Libya which has flights to both national and international destinations. It operates international services to more than 25 countries around Asia, Europe, Africa and Middle East. With its chief centre at Tripoli International Airport Afriqiyah Airways provides domestic flight services between Tripoli and Benghazi.
Afriqiyah Airways came into existence in the April 2001 and started regular scheduled services on 1 December 2001 to nearly 27 destinations. By mid-October 2010, Afriqiyah Airways and Libya’s other state flag carrier namely Libyan Airlines merged as a single airline.

The A330s fly the long-distance operations with a two-class configuration with 230 seats (J30/Y200).
