Air India Express is India’s primary low cost carrier which has maximum flights to both national and international destinations. This subsidiary of Air India was established in May 2004and initiated operations on 29th April2005 It has its main centre at Cochin International Airport in Kochi in the state of Kerala. The airline belongs to Air India Charters Limited and operated its first flight from Thiruvanthapuram to Abu Dhabi.

Air India Express -Baggage Allowance
Air India Express permits some amount of baggage free of charge depending upon the destination. However, passengers with infants are allowed to check-in 10 kgs of luggage free of charge. The bags with a weight up to 7 kgs55x40x20 cm can be taken inside the cabin.Air India Express permits every traveler to have two bags around 20 kg each for the travelers. On the whole the standard size of each case should not exceed 160cm -63 inches.
