Ethiopian Airline is the pioneer airline of Ethiopia. It has the ET on the international level and it shares its code with Air China, British Midland, South African Airways, Turkish Airlines, and Saudi Arabian Airlines, Air Nigeria, Brussels Airline etc and some are in pipeline as well. Ethiopian Airlines ET was founded in the year 1945, but it started its operations in 1946. The Ethiopian Airline is completely owned by Ethiopian Government.

Types of Ethiopian Airlines

There are two types of class that Ethiopian Airlines offers i.e. Cloud Nine which is a combination of Business and First Class which gives a wonderful flying experience to the passenger with ET. The Economy Class also has good offerings which provide a passenger with 12 audio channels and also access to the video library which has more than seven titles. For the flyers that fly frequently with ET are given Club Privilege which offers lot of things like award tickets and many more.

Ethiopian airlines ET Baggage allowance

In regards to baggage it is on weight or piece whichever is applicable. Ethiopian Airlines allows per single baggage of maximum 32 kg for business class and 23 kg in regards to economy class this limit is across Atlantic. In various long haul flights there is piece concept for baggage, where in an adult can carry up to 2 pieces along with his carry-on baggage free.

The Ethiopian airlines has a fleet of some 47 aircrafts and it includes Boeing 777-200LR, Boeing 767-300, Boeing 757-200, Boeing 757-260F (Cargo), Boeing 747F (Cargo), MD-11F (Cargo), Boeing 737-700NG, B737-800W and Q400 and many more.
